Precisely designed, the Fernox TF1 Delta Filter is a high-quality, nickel-plated, built-in brass system filter specifically designed to protect vital and costly components in commercial, high-volume, low-temperature commercial heating and cooling systems. The TF1 Delta Filter has three filtration methods: Magnetic, hydrocyclonic and automatic or manual ventilation. Protects key components from magnetic and non-magnetic residues, as well as trapped air from system water. It is easy to install, maintain and clean on site while the system is operating, and can be used in series or bypass.

Optimal performance with magnetic and hydrocyclonic filtration for commercial bulk systems

Quick and easy installation near the wall (with minimal necessary modifications to the pipe). Suitable for horizontal and vertical piping in both flow directions

Maximum operating pressure: 16 bar (232 psi)

Automatic Fan with Automatic Stop Valve - 12 bar (174 psi)

High quality neodymium magnet for high temperatures

5 Year Warranty

More information

The TF1 Delta Filter is made of high-strength brass, suitable for heating and cooling applications. The brass components are nickel-plated to increase durability and resistance, which means that the filter is compatible for use with a range of sweeteners and additives used in central heating systems.

The TF1 Delta Filter is designed to ensure minimal pressure head loss while maintaining high collection efficiency. The hydrocyclonic action, the magnet assembly and the low flow area are designed to allow the filter to capture a range of system contaminants while ensuring that it does not affect the rest of the heating system.

The TF1 Delta Filter uses a range of high quality components to ensure that the filter offers the best possible performance. The magnet is manufactured with top neodymium quality, allowing a high rate of intake, combined with a durable drain valve design, which allows the filter to be cleaned without requiring system shutdown.

Application, placement and dosage

The TF1 Delta Filter is a high efficiency filter, which uses magnetic and hydrocyclonic action to deliver, retain and remove contaminants from the system water. Ideal for all systems, such as belts, low loss stepped manifold and plate-to-plate heat exchangers. Installation instructions are provided. The filter can be mounted on vertical or horizontal piping, according to the flow direction indicated by the arrow on the manifold. Ideally, the filter should be placed at the return to the boiler and can be placed at a distance of up to 45 ° from the vertical position, if space or head height is limited.

Packaging, Handling and Safety

As with all magnetic products, if you have an implanted cardiac device, you should always take special care when handling any magnetic filter.

Individually packaged, with instructions included. There are no special storage requirements.

Pressure loss data

The TF1 Delta Filter has been hydrostatically tested

in accordance with Directive 97/23 / EC on pressure equipment

at 24 bar (348 psi) for a PN16 rating

Principle of operation - Contaminated water enters the filter through the manifold, carrying a variety of system debris and suspended particles. These residues, including ferrous pollutants such as magnetite, move through the manifold and into the main body of the filter.

The TF1 Delta Filter uses hydrocyclonic filtration. A hydrocyclone is a static device that exerts a centrifugal force on a liquid mixture to promote particle separation.

The hydrocyclonic action is designed to convert the incoming fluid velocity into rotational motion. As water enters the filter, it rotates around and below the outside of the filter, carrying particles with it. The shape of the filter is designed to create a dead zone at the bottom, where heavier particles are deposited for safe removal.
